AusEco recently completed three solid wood beach bungalows for a holiday resort on Koh Phangan Island located off the southern coast of Thailand. The dismountable bungalows were built in factory and trucked to Koh Phangan overnight where all three were reassembled on site by our staff in 7 days.
Genuine Mahogany wood [swietenia macrophylla] is perfect for this application being one of the most stable long lasting timbers available and is naturally resistant to insect attack. We prefabricated the walls, floors and roofing in factory and bolted the sections together using 306 stainless steel bolts and screws. After completion it was simply a matter of removing the bolts and screws, packing and trucking the sections to Koh Phangan and reassembling them again.
The bungalows being dismountable not only make them easy to truck but also easy to move to other locations. In this case the beachfront land was leased for 10 years after which the bungalows can be disassembled and moved elsewhere. With genuine Mahogany lasting around 80 years in these conditions and the cost to buy quality timber going up every year the bungalows are actually worth more over time.
Also suitable for mountain resorts, gardens or even granny flats - contact us anytime for a free quotation we ship worldwide and can send our staff to your part of the world to assemble the bungalows on site.
Construction in factory through to the beach bungalows being assembled on site on Koh Phangan Island.
